Australian market indexes gained but the Aussie dollar edged lower after the largest bank in the nation, CBA, lifted variable home mortgage rate by 15 basis points. Santos Ltd rejected a highly conditional purchase offer. Wesfarmers said first-quarter food and liquor sales rose 4.7%.
