Team Inc. Expects Q3 Profit to Rise 30 Percent

Team Inc., an Alvin, Texas-based provider of specialty industrial services, said it expects earnings in the third quarter of 2004 to rise 30 percent due to overall business expansion.

The company expects earnings of about $1.3 million compared with $1 million in the same quarter a year earlier. Revenue is estimated at $56 million. Results will be released on April 12.
Share of Team Inc. (TMI) closed up 1.5 percent at $21.08 on the American Stock Exchange Monday.
Safeway Inc. (SWY), the U.S. third-biggest grocer based in Pleasanton, California said same-store sales for the first quarter of 2005 rose 4.4 percent year on year, excluding sales at stores affected by a strike in southern California.
Total sales rose 12 percent to $8.6 billion, from $7.7 billion in the first quarter of 2004. The company is scheduled to report earnings on May 3.
Safeway shares closed up 2.14 percent at $18.65 on the New York Stock Exchange Monday.
