Europe Holds On to Gains, Bourses Close Higher

Major European markets sustained gains from early trading on Tuesday to end the trading session higher. The CAC 40 Index outperformed leading benchmarks, closing 2.76% up.
Europe Markets Review
In London FTSE 100 Index closed 73.33 basis points higher, or 1.70%, to 4,392.68, while in Paris CAC 40 Index increased 86.41, or 2.76%, to close at 3,217.13. In Frankfurt the DAX index climbed 105.34, or 2.24%, to close at 4,810.20. In Zurich the SMI increased 69.57, or 1.27%, to close at 5,534.53.
