Japan's indexes rose on Wednesday and extended weekly advance amid easing crude oil prices and weakening bond yields.

The yield on 10-year Japanese government bonds edged lower to 2.88%, tracking lower global yields as investors awaited greater clarity on the U.S. government's fiscal reform plans.

The Brent crude oil prices decreased 2% to $86.91 a barrel amid hopes that the U.S. and Iran could find a diplomatic solution and avert another showdown over the Strait of Hormuz.
