FedEx, Oracle Drop Ahead of Results, Jefferies Net Jumps

Tollbooth Index slumped 207.33 or 1.3% to 15,293.43 but for the year-to-date soared 11.1%.

Earnings Review

FedEx Corporation ((FDX)) dropped 2.5% or $6.34 to $257.03 ahead of the fourth-quarter earnings results after the market close today.

Jefferies Group Inc ((JEF)) rose 11 cents to $22.32 after the diversified financial services provider said total net revenues in the second-quarter ending in May soared 20% from a year ago to $823 million.

Net income in the quarter surged to $98 million from $69.8 million in the same quarter last year.

""Our second quarter results reflect continued strong performance in investment banking,” said chairman and chief executive officer Rich Handler.

La-Z-Boy Inc ((LZB)) slipped 1.6% or 55 cents to $32.60 ahead of earnings results for the fourth-quarter after the today’s market closes.

Oracle Corporation ((ORCL)) fell 35 cents to $46.18 ahead of earnings results for the fourth-quarter after the today’s market closes.
