Richemont Sales Edge Up 1%, HELLA and Boohoo.com in Focus

In London trading, FTSE 100 index edged up 1.62 to 7,749.72 and in Frankfurt the DAX index slipped 92.39 or 0.7% to 13,183.28.
In Paris, CAC 40 index dropped 15.33 or 0.3% to 5,488.18.
AO World Plc soared 8.1% to 141.60 pence after the U.K.-based online electrical products retailer said group revenues in the third-quarter ending in December surged 16.6%, domestic revenues jumped 11.4% and online revenues advanced 11.2%.
Boohoo.Com Plc slumped 3.2% to 200.48 pence after the U.K.-based online fashion retailer said group total revenues in the fourth-week ending in December doubled from a year ago to £228.2 million.
The retailer lifted revenue growth forecast to about 90% from the earlier estimate of 80% but narrowed operating margins range to between 9.25% and 9.75% from the earlier estimate of 9% to 10%.
HELLA GmbH & Co KgaA, formerly Hella KGaA Hueck & Co jumped 2.4% to €56.75 after Germany-based lightening technology provider reported revenues in the first-half ending in November soared 8% from a year ago to €3.5 billion.
Net profit in the period surged 14.4% to €197.9 million from €173 million in a year ago period and diluted earnings per share increased to €1.78 from €1.56.
HELLA said operating profit in the period advanced 9.3% to €293 million and operating margin increased to 8.5% from the same period a year ago.
Total segments sales increased 13% to €211 million from €187 million a year ago period driven by strong demand for product solutions for agricultural and construction vehicles.
HELLA forecasted fiscal 2018 sales and operating profit growth of about 5% to 10%.
Pandora A/S tumbled 11.1% to 591 Danish kronor after Denmark-based jewelry maker said that fiscal 2017 revenue was ""marginally below"" from the initial financial forecast of 23 billion kroner to 24 billion kroner.
Jewelry maker lowered operating margin to about 37.3% from the earlier estimate of 38%.
Compagnie Financiere Richemont SA increased 0.8% to €89.82 after Switzerland-based jewelry maker said total sales in the third-quarter ending in December rose 1% from a year ago to €3.1 billion.
Richemont said revenues in the retail segment jumped 7% to €1.98 billion and revenues in the wholesale business soared 8% to €1.14 billion.
