Allianz to Ramp Up Asia Real Estate Investment, easyJet December Traffic Jumps

[R]4:00 PM Frankfurt – Allianz’s real estate unit plans to double its investments in Asia. Dialog Semiconductor accelerated the recent decline on the worries that Apple devices are vulnerable to hacker attack. easyJet passenger numbers in December jumped.[/R]
In London trading, FTSE 100 index increased 21.08 or 0.3% to 7,716.96 and in Frankfurt the DAX index jumped 140.40 or 1.1% to 13,308.43.
In Paris, CAC 40 index advanced 40.52 or 0.8% to 5,454.21.
For the week, FTSE 100 index advanced 1.5%, the DAX index soared 1.8% and the CAC 40 index jumped 1.7%.
Allianz SE increased 1.2% to €197.80 after Germany-based insurer and financial services provider’s property unit plans to double its investments in Asia to €3.75 billion by the end of 2020 from €1.8 billion.
The announcement was made by Allianz Real Estate chief executive officer of Asia-Pacific Rushabh Desai.
Dialog Semiconductor Plc declined 3.3% to €25.65 after the U.K.-focused mobile integrated circuits maker said the proposed patches would not significantly affect processing speeds and will shortly release patch for the Safari browser on its devices.
The semiconductor is scrambling to find a solution to the flaw that could make Apple devices vulnerable to hacker attacks.
easyJet Plc gained 0.6% to 1,519 pence after the U.K.-based discount airliner said passenger traffic in December jumped 5.5% to 5.9 million and load factor increased to 91.4% from 89.9% in the same month a year ago.
Total passenger numbers in fiscal 2017 soared 9.6% to 81.6 million and the load factor advanced 1.6% to 93% from 91.5% in fiscal 2016.
Keller Group Plc soared 5.7% to 1,014 pence after the U.K.-based geotechnical and underground construction solution provider said it is in talk to acquire the U.S.-based privately held Moretrench Inc., a geotechnical contracting services provider.
Volkswagen AG jumped 2.5% to €178.80 after Germany-based automobile maker said it is exploring to partner with the U.S. based Aurora Innovation to accelerate its plan to launch self-driving cars.
