Paypoint Net Decline Surprised Traders, Rocket Start-ups Cut Losses

In London trading, FTSE 100 index decreased 33.97 or 0.5% to 7,359.73 and in Frankfurt the DAX index increased 47.17 or 0.4% to 13,108.87.
In Paris, CAC 40 index rose 6.29 to 5,403.63.
For the month, FTSE 100 index dropped 1.7%, the DAX index slumped 1.1% and the CAC 40 index declined 1.7%.
Capital Stage AG fell 0.5% to €90.26 after Germany-based solar and wind parks investor reported revenues in the nine-month period ending in September jumped 67.3% from a year ago to €179.8 million.
Net profit in the period soared to €35 million from €12.9 million in a year ago period and diluted earnings per share advanced to €0.26 from €0.15.
Grainger Plc decreased 1.3% to 281.90 pence after the U.K.-based residential real estate developer stated revenues in the year ending in September advanced 20.4% from a year ago to £264.7 million.
Net income in the year tumbled 44.8% to £74.7 million from £135.3 million in a year ago period and diluted earnings per share slumped to 17.9 pence from 32.5 pence.
Paypoint Plc dropped 2% to 919 pence after the U.K.-based consumer payment services provider said revenues in the first-half ending in September fell 4% from a year ago to £97.6 million.
Net income in the period rose 0.5% to £19.8 million from £19.7 million in a year ago period and diluted earnings per share edged up to 28.9 pence from 28.7 pence.
MBB SE, formerly MBB Industries AG slipped 1.2% to €90.26 after Germany-based industrial companies buyer said revenues in the nine-month period ending in September soared 16.3% from a year ago to €282.4 million.
Net profit in the period declined 10.3% to €10 million from €11.1 million in a year ago period and diluted earnings per share decreased to €1.51 from €1.69.
MBB said operating profit in the period soared 16.3% to €27.6 million from €23.7 million in the same period a year ago.
Rocket Internet SE declined 3.3% to €19.97 after Germany-based fashion, furniture and food start-up investor said revenues in the nine-month period ending in September jumped 28% from a year ago to €1.9 billion.
Net loss in the period narrowed to €44 million from €642 million in a year ago period.
However, the investor manager’s key portfolios HelloFresh, Westwing and Home24 “delivered strong results.”
Soitec SA gained 0.9% to €64.80 after France-based chips and circuits maker reported revenues in the first-half ending in September surged 28% from a year ago to €143 million.
Net profit in the period jumped to €23.2 million from €3.1 million in a year ago period.
Soitec forecasted fiscal 2018 sales to increase 25% and Electronics segment operating margin of about 25%.
