In London trading, FTSE 100 index rose 9.89 to 7,205.20 and in Frankfurt the DAX index fell 8.18 to 11,576.76.

In Paris, CAC 40 index slid 3.54 to 4,897.10.

For the week, FTSE 100 index increased 1.9%, the DAX index rose 0.8% and the CAC 40 index gained 0.8%.

Concardis, Reuters said private equity firms Bain Capital and Advent are close to acquiring Germany-based payment service providers for about €700 million or £598.3 million or $741 million.

EasyJet Plc rose 0.3% to 1,058 pence after the U.K.-based low-cost airline reported total numbers of passenger in December soared 15.1% to 5,579,978 and load factor jumped to 89.9% from 86.6% in the same month a year ago.

In the year, total numbers of passenger advanced 6.6% to 74,452,487 and load factor slid 0.1% to 91.5% from 91.6%.

Fenner Plc surged 16.3% to 275 pence after the U.K.-based elevator and conveyor systems provider said results in the current financial year will be “comfortably above” from previous expectations on improved new orders and customer enquiries.

The polymer technology developer said its oil and gas operations were buoyed by an improved order intake.

TP ICAP soared 8.4% to 469.60 pence after the U.K.-based interdealer broker said annual revenues are estimated to jump at least 12% from £796 million reported in fiscal 2015.
