Earnings Review
Aecom ((ACM)) increased 2.4% or 72 cents to $31.04 after the architectural and engineering services provider said total revenues in the fourth-quarter ending in September advanced 84% from a year ago to $4.72 billion.
Net income in the quarter tumbled 98% to $1 million or 1 cent per diluted share compared to $64 million or 64 cents per share from the same quarter last year.
Astronics Corporation ((ATRO)) surged 9.3% or $3.78 to $44.47 after the aerospace, defense, consumer electronics products maker stated revenues in the third-quarter ending in September jumped 11.5% from a year ago to $200.1 million.
Net income in the quarter soared 44.6% to $24.7 million or 42 cents per diluted share compared to $17.1 million or 31 cents per share from the same quarter last year.
The company estimated sales for the year between $690 million and $705 million, and revenue in aerospace segment in the range of $553 million to $564 million and in test systems segment in the range of $118 million to $134 million.
D.R. Horton, Inc ((DHI)) increased 1.9% or 54 cents to $29.31 after the homebuilder said total revenues in the fourth-quarter ending in September soared 28% from a year ago to $3.1 billion.
Net income in the quarter surged 43.7% to $238.9 million or 64 cents per diluted share compared to $166.3 million or 45 cents per share from the same quarter last year.
General Electric Company ((GE)) gained 1.5% or 44 cents to $30.19 after the diversified conglomerate won an award of $2.6 billion from the Indian railway ministry for the supply and maintenance of 1,000 locomotives for the next eleven-years.
Rockwell Automation ((ROK)) declined 4.9% or $5.28 to $102.51 after the industrial automation products maker reported total revenues in the fourth-quarter ending in September declined 9.8% from a year ago to $1.61 billion.
Net income in the quarter tumbled 19.1% to $201.3 million or $1.50 per diluted share compared to $248.7 million or $1.79 per share from the same quarter last year.
The company forecasted sales for the fiscal 2016 of about $6 billion and earnings per share in the range of $5.90 to $6.40.
As of September 30, the company had acquired 5.4 million at a cost of $606.2 million.
Sunedison Inc ((SUNE)) plunged 15.8% or $1.17 to $6.23 after the photovoltaic energy solution developer said net sales in the third-quarter ending in September rose 1.5% from a year ago to $476 million.
Net loss in the quarter widened to $284 million or 91 cents per diluted share compared to $283 million or $1.06 per share from the same quarter last year.
