Earnings Review
E I Du Pont De Nemours And Co ((DD)) dropped 2.9% or $2.14 to $70.70 after the industrial conglomerate reported net sales in the first-quarter ending in March declined 7.7% to $9.37 billion from a year ago period.
Net income in the quarter plunged 28.5% to $1.03 billion or $1.13 per diluted share compared to $1.44 million or $1.54 from the same quarter last year.
Harley-Davidson, Inc ((HOG)) plunged 8.6% or $5.30 to $56.47 after the motorcycle maker reported revenues in the first-quarter ending on March 29 decreased 3.8% from a year ago quarter to $1.51 billion.
Net income in the quarter slid 1.5% to $269.9 million or $1.27 per diluted share compared to $265.9 million or $1.21 from the same quarter last year.
International Business Machines Corp ((IBM)) slipped $1.52 to $164.64 after the computer system maker and services provider reported total revenues in the first-quarter ending in March plunged 11.9% to $19.59 billion from a year ago period.
Net income in the quarter dropped 2.4% to $2.33 billion or $2.35 per diluted share compared to $2.38 billion or $2.29 from the same quarter last year.
Kimberly Clark Corp ((KMB)) jumped 4.3% or $4.62 to $111.98 after the sanitary products maker said net sales in the first-quarter ending in March slipped 4% to $4.69 billion form a year ago period.
Net income in the quarter plummeted 13% to $468 million or $1.27 per diluted share compared to $538 million or $1.41 from the same quarter last year.
Lockheed Martin Corporation ((LMT)) fell 95 cents to $195.85 after the security and aerospace company said net sales in the first-quarter ending in March dropped 5.1% to $10.11 billion from a year ago period.
Net income in the quarter declined 5.9% to $878 million or $2.74 per diluted share compared to $933 million or $2.87 from the same quarter last year.
Regions Financial Corporation ((RF)) advanced 1.9% or 19 cents to $9.78 after the financial services provider said revenues in the first-quarter ending in March rose 1.6% from a year ago quarter to $1.29 billion
Net income in the quarter declined 25.7% to $234 million or 16 cents per diluted share compared to $315 million or 22 cents from the same quarter last year.
TD Ameritrade Holding Corporation ((AMTD)) slipped 1.4% or 50 cents to $35.95 after the discount broker reported revenues in the second-quarter ending in March fell 1% from a year ago quarter to $803 million
Net in the quarter swung to profit $189 million or 35 cents per diluted share compared to a loss of $5 million or break even per share from the same quarter last year.
Under Armour Inc ((UA)) plunged 4.5% or $3.96 to $83.80 after the apparel, footwear and accessories maker stated net revenues in the first-quarter ending in March soared 25% to $805 million from a year ago period.
Net income in the quarter fell 1.7% to $11.7 million or 5 cents per diluted share compared to $13.5 million or 6 cents from the same quarter last year.
