Earnings Review

Actavis Plc ((ACT)) fell 1.5% or $4.42 to $282.51 after the Netherland-based pharmaceutical company reported revenues in the fourth-quarter ending in December soared 46% to $4.06 billion form a year ago period.

Net loss in the quarter widened to $732.9 million or $2.76 per diluted share compared to $148.4 million or 86 cents from the same quarter last year.

Cinemark Holdings, Inc ((CNK)) climbed 5.2% or $2.03 to $41.11 after the motion picture producer said total revenues in the fourth-quarter ending in December increased 1.2% to $659.9 million from a year ago period.

Net income in the quarter soared 203.2% to $47.3 million or 41 cents per diluted share compared to $15.6 million or 13 cents from the same quarter last year.

Duke Energy Corp ((DUK)) rose 19 cents to $79.58 after the electric power producer reported said total revenues in the year ending in December jumped 5.1% to $23.92 billion from a year ago period.

Net income in the quarter tumbled 29.3% to $1.88 billion or $2.66 per diluted share compared to $2.66 billion or $3.76 from the same quarter last year.

Fossil Group Inc ((FOSL)) tumbled 18.2% or $18.52 to $80.83 after the fashion accessories retailer stated net sales in the fourth-quarter ending in December nearly flat at $1.06 billion from a year ago period.

Net income in the quarter jumped 3.8% to $154.1 million or $3 per diluted share compared to $148.5 million or $2.68 from the same quarter last year.

Fossil said it will launch the first watches developed in collaboration with Kate Spade in 2016.

For the first quarter, Fossil estimated earnings per share between 59 cents and 69 cents.

The company forecasted earnings per share for the fiscal 2015 in the range of $5.45 to $6.05 per share.

Hilton Worldwide Holdings Inc ((HLT)) dropped 1.4% or 41 cents to $28.24 after the hotels and resorts operator reported total revenues in the fourth-quarter ending in December climbed 7.2% to $2.83 billion from a year ago period.

Net income in the quarter surged 507.7% to $158 million or 16 cents per diluted share compared to $26 million or 3 cents from the same quarter last year.

Hyatt Hotels Corporation ((H)) fell 44 cents to $59.09 after the hotel and motel operator said total revenues in the fourth-quarter ending in December nearly flat at $1.08 billion from a year ago period.

Net income in the quarter soared 468.8% to $182 million or $1.20 per diluted share compared to $32 million or 20 cents from the same quarter last year.

NiSource Inc ((NI)) jumped 2.2% or 95 cents to $43.51 after the energy company stated reported total revenues in the fourth-quarter ending in December advanced 8.6% to $1.13 billion from a year ago period.

Net income in the quarter rose 1.6% to $154.2 million or 49 cents per diluted share compared to $151.8 million or 48 cents from the same quarter last year.

Virgin America Inc ((VA)) soared 5.2% or $1.76 to $35.99 after the airline company said total revenues in the fourth-quarter ending in December increased 3.4% to $372.2 million from a year ago period.

Net income in the quarter tumbled 72.7% to $3.87 million or 16 cents per diluted share compared to $14.2 million or $4.57 from the same quarter last year.
