Just Dial Seeks Investors, Alstom T&D Awarded Sri Lanka Contract

Alstom won a contract from Ceylon Electricity Board, Sri Lanka. ITC plans to invest about Rs 9,000 crore to expand its hotel chain. Taneja Aerospace signed a contract with Indian Air Force to upgrade MIG 29 aircrafts.

The Sensex Index climbed 255.08 or 0.9% to close at 28,693.99. The CNX Nifty jumped 94.05 or 1.1% to 8,588.25.

For the week, the Sensex and the CNX Nifty increased 1.2% and for the month, the Sensex soared 6.6% and the CNX Nifty surged 6.9%.

Gainers & Losers

Alstom T&D India Limited advanced 1.9% to Rs 472.70 after the power generation company won a contract worth €7 million or Rs 56 crore from Ceylon Electricity Board, Sri Lanka.

BF Utilities Limited slid 0.3% to Rs 607.90 after the energy company reported net in the fourth-quarter plunged 25.9% to Rs 4.25 crore.

Total revenues tumbled 21.8% to Rs 9.70 crore.

ITC Limited rose 0.6% to Rs 363 and the diversified conglomerate said company plans to invest about Rs 9,000 crore to expand its hotel chain.

Indowind Energy Limited climbed 2.9% to Rs 4.29 and the wind energy company reported net in the second-quarter surged 180% to Rs 0.14 crore.

Net sales plummeted 9.7% to Rs 9.83 crore.

Just Dial Limited jumped 2% to Rs 1,597.70 and the online search service provider said the Reserve Bank of India increased the foreign investment limit in the company to 75% from 49%.

Taneja Aerospace and Aviation Ltd surged 19.9% to Rs 60.35 after the aviation products maker signed a contract worth Rs 12.79 crore to upgrade MIG 29 aircrafts of Indian Air Force located in Nasik, Maharashtra.
