Earnings Review
Analog Devices, Inc ((ADI)) jumped 4% or $2.06 to $53.77 after the integrated circuit maker said net revenues in the fourth-quarter ending on November 1 climbed 20.1% to $814.2 million from a year ago period.
Net income in the quarter plunged 46.1% to $108.7 million or 34 cents a diluted share compared to $201.6 million or 64 cents from a same quarter last year.
Books-A-Million, Inc ((BAMM)) declined 2.7% or 5 cents to $1.79 after the book retailer reported net revenues in the fourth-quarter ending on November 1 rose 1.2% to $101.2 million from a year ago period.
Net loss in the quarter was flat at $6.9 million or 50 cents a diluted share compared to $6.9 million or 47 cents from a same quarter last year.
Ctrip.com International Ltd ((CTRP)) tumbled 10.4% or $6.08 to $52.48 after the travel company said net revenues in the third-quarter ending in September surged 38% to $347 million from a year ago period.
Net income in the quarter declined 42% from the quarter year ago to $35 million or 22 cents a diluted share.
Deere & Company ((DE)) fell 1% or 95 cents to $86.86 after the agriculture and turf equipment maker net revenues in the fourth-quarter ending in October dropped 5% to $8.97 billion from a year ago period.
Net income in the quarter tumbled 19.5% to $649.2 million or $1.83 a diluted share compared to $806.8 million or $2.11 from a same quarter last year.
Hewlett-Packard Company ((HPQ)) climbed 3.7% or $1.38 to $39.01 after the systems hardware and software developer reported net revenue for the fourth-quarter ending in October fell 2% to $28.41 billion from a year ago period.
Net income in the quarter declined 5.7% to $1.33 billion or 70 cents a diluted share compared to $1.41 billion or 73 cents from a same quarter last year.
For the fiscal 2015, the company forecasted earnings between $3.23 and $3.43 per share and adjusted earnings in the range of $3.83 to $4.03 per share.
Veeva Systems Inc ((VEEV)) surged 8.8% or $2.53 to $31.37 after the cloud-based software solution provider said revenues in the third-quarter ending in October soared 52% to $83.8 million from a year ago period.
Net income in the quarter surged 36% to $10.3 million or 7 cents a diluted share compared to $6.5 million or 5 cents from a same quarter last year.
