The Sensex Index advanced 106.02 or 0.4% to close at 28,046.66. The CNX Nifty gained 32.05 or 0.4% to 8,389.90.
For the week, Sensex climbed 0.6% and CNX Nifty jumped 0.6%.
Gainers & Losers
Cipla Limited, the pharmaceutical company declined 2.5% to Rs 608.85 after net in the second-quarter dropped 16.5% to Rs 299 crore.
Net sales advanced 5.9% to Rs 2,630 crore.
DLF Limited gained 2.1% to Rs 141.80 and the real estate developer announced net in the second-quarter rose 9% to Rs 109 crore.
Revenues fell 4% to Rs 2,136 crore.
Gujarat Gas Company Limited, the oil and gas explorer dropped 1.7% to Rs 468.20 after net in the second-quarter tumbled 35.1% to Rs 77.25 crore.
Net revenues slipped 17% to Rs 699.11 crore.
Hindustan Copper Limited the central government controlled copper producer decreased 1.8% to Rs 79.05 after net in the second-quarter plunged 72.2% to Rs 17.21 crore.
Total revenues declined 33.2% to Rs 237.62 crore.
Housing Development and Infrastructure Limited rose 1.4% to Rs 88.15 and the home builder reported net in the second-quarter surged 35.5% to Rs 57.87 crore.
Total revenues plunged 31.3% to Rs 304.84 crore.
Steel Authority of India Ltd., the iron and steel maker surged 7.6% to Rs 86.40 after net in the second-quarter plummeted 45% to Rs 649.5 crore.
Net revenues increased 1.3% to Rs 11,678.67 crore.
The Shipping Corporation of India Limited soared 5.7% to Rs 65.40 after the largest liner shipping company said net in the second-quarter swung to profit Rs 18.59 crore compared to a loss of Rs 123.53 crore a same period last year.
Net revenues advanced 9.9% to Rs 1,194.04 crore.
TVS Motor Company Limited, the automobile company plunged 4.7% to Rs 241.90 after net in the second-quarter rose 6.7% to Rs 94.81 crore.
Net sales soared 34.3% to Rs 2,635.46 crore.
Tata Power Company Limited increased 0.1% to Rs 88.85 and the largest integrated power company said net in the second-quarter swung to loss Rs 77.75 crore compared to a profit of Rs 74.97 crore a year ago period.
Net revenues slid 1.3% to Rs 8,959.44 crore.
