Earnings Review

ADT Corp ((ADP)) jumped 3.8% or $1.35 to $37 after the electronic security system provider said revenues in the fourth-quarter ending in September increased 4.4% to $883 million from a year ago period.

Net income in the quarter tumbled 14.6% to $82 million or 47 cents a diluted share compared to $96 million or 96 cents from a same quarter last year.

Energizer Holdings, Inc ((ENR)) rose 22 cents to $125.01 after the personal care products maker reported net sales in the fourth-quarter ending in September soared 7.1% to $1.14 billion from a year ago period.

Net income in the quarter plunged 18.9% to $85.2 million or $1.36 a diluted share compared to $105.1 million or $1.66 from a same quarter last year.

Fossil Group Inc ((FOSL)) surged 7.9% or $8.23 to $111.98 after the consumer fashion accessory designer net sales in the third-quarter ending on October 4 soared 10.4% to $894.5 million from a year ago period.

Net income in the quarter declined 15.6% to $103.7 million or $1.96 a diluted share compared to $89.7 million or $1.58 from a same quarter last year.

The J.M. Smucker Company ((SJM)) dropped 3.6% or $3.74 to $100.33 after the branded food products maker forecasted net sales in the second-quarter ending in October to drop 5% and net income per diluted share to increase of $1.55 from $1.46 in the same quarter a year ago.

Macy''s, Inc ((M)) climbed 3.3% or $1.93 to $60.53 after the department stores operator reported total sales in the third-quarter ending on November 1 fell 1.3% to $6.20 billion from a year ago period. Comparable store sales in the quarter decreased 1.4%.

Net income in the quarter soared 22.6% to $217 million or 61 cents a diluted share compared to $177 million or 47 cents from a same quarter last year.

Pinnacle Foods Inc ((PF)) increased 1.1% or 38 cents to $33.74 after the frozen food distributor stated net sales in the third-quarter ending on September climbed 9% to $624 million from a year ago period.

Net income in the quarter surged 234.1% to $135.9 million or $1.16 a diluted share compared to $40.7 million or 35 cents from a same quarter last year.

Rockwell Automation ((ROK)) gained 70 cents to $113.56 after the electrical equipment provider said total sales in the fourth-quarter ending in September jumped 3.9% to $1.78 billion from a year ago period.

Net income in the quarter climbed 15.5% to $248.7 million or $1.79 a diluted share compared to $215.3 million or $1.53 from a same quarter last year.
