Axis Bank net surged 18%. CMC net jumped 13%. Crompton Greaves profit soared 13%. Hero MotoCorp net and revenue surged. Supreme Petrochem net plunged 60%. The Supreme Industries profit tumbled 42%. Zee Entertainment slid 4%.

The Sensex Index climbed 109.19 or 0.4% to close at 26,108.53 The CNX Nifty advanced 31.50 or 0.4% to 7,779.70.

For the week, Sensex slumped 1.9% and CNX Nifty declined 2.3%.

Gainers & Losers

Axis Bank Limited advanced 2% to Rs 401.95 after the private sector net in the second-quarter surged 18.2% to Rs 1,610.71 crore and net revenue soared 13.1% to Rs 8,602.36 crore.

CMC Limited plunged 14.4% to Rs 1,872.65 after net in the second-quarter jumped 12.9% to Rs 76 crore and sales advanced 9.9% to Rs 616.69 crore.

Crompton Greaves Limited rose 1.2% to Rs 190.95 after industrial equipment maker said net in the second-quarter climbed 19.1% to Rs 69.59 crore and sales increased 5.8% to Rs 3,430.32 crore.

Hero MotoCorp Limited jumped 3.1% to Rs 2,877.10 after the largest maker of motorcycles said net in the second-quarter surged 58.6% to Rs 763.37 crore and sales soared 20.5% to Rs 6,863.50 crore.

Supreme Petrochem Ltd tumbled 7.6% to Rs 78.80 after net in the first-quarter plummeted 59.6% to Rs 10.74 crore and net sales dropped 11.4% to Rs 694.23 crore.

The Supreme Industries Limited declined 4.4% to Rs 576 after net in the second-quarter plunged 41.7% to Rs 25.06 crore and net revenue advanced 7.7% to Rs 759.55 crore.

Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited jumped 3.1% to Rs 322.55 after the most profitable media network said net in the second-quarter slid 3.7% to Rs 227.55 crore and total revenue increased 1.2% to Rs 1,170.03 crore.
