Financial Technologies agreed to sell 15% stake in MCX to Kotak Mahindra Bank. HCL Infosystems net loss widened. L&T secured new orders worth Rs 1,423 crore in September. Strides Arcolab sells 25.1% stake in Stelis Biopharma.

The Sensex Index gained 33.40 to close at 26,630.51 The CNX Nifty gained 57 to 7,968.85.

For the month, Sensex slid 0.03% and for the quarter climbed 4.8% and CNX Nifty rose 0.1% and for the quarter jumped 4.6%.

Gainers & Losers

Financial Technologies (India) Limited dropped 2.1% to Rs 223.50 after the company sold 15% stake in Multi Commodity Exchange of India to Kotak Mahindra Bank.

HCL Infosystems Limited declined 2.3% to Rs 83.35 after net loss in the fourth-quarter widened to Rs 198.03 crore compared to Rs 40.25 crore and net sales dropped to Rs 1,337.65 crore.

For the year, net loss widened to Rs 214.52 crore compared to Rs 79.98 crore and net sales declined to Rs 7,848.31 crore.

Just Dial Limited jumped 1.1% to Rs 1,625.50 after the company received offer from the Karnataka government allotting 15 acres of land for IT Park in Bangalore.

Larsen & Toubro Limited fell 0.7% to Rs 1,457.45 after the company secured new orders worth Rs 1,423 crore in various business segments in September.

Sterlite Technologies Limited surged 4.9% to Rs 70.65 after the company entered into a joint venture agreement with VISCAS Corporation.

Strides Arcolab Limited climbed 1.9% to Rs 715.75 after the company signed an agreement with GMS Holdings to sell 25.1% stake of Stelis Biopharma.
