Cognizant to Buy TriZetto for $2.7 B, Danaher Acquires Nobel Biocare

Cognizant Technology agreed to buy privately held TriZetto for $2.7 billion. Danaher agreed to acquire Switzerland-based Nobel Biocare Holding for $2.2 billion. Microsoft agreed to acquire Sweden-based Mojang for $2.5 billion.

Earnings Review

Cognizant Technology Solutions Corp ((CTSH)) slipped 21 cents to $44.55 after the outsourcing service provider agreed to buy privately held TriZetto Corp. for $2.7 billion in cash. Cognizant is looking to capitalize on shifts in health-care information technology driven by regulatory reform.

The transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter of this year.

Danaher Corporation ((DHR)) gained 44 cents to $77.32 after the healthcare conglomerate agreed to acquire Switzerland-based medical device maker Nobel Biocare Holding AG for $2.2 billion including debt to expand in the global dental industry.

Microsoft Corporation ((MSFT)) fell 42 cents to $46.27 after the software developer agreed to acquire Mojang, the Stockholm-based online game developer Minecraft worth $2.5 billion.

The acquisition is expected to close at the end of the year.

Rewalk Robotics Ltd ((RWLK)) surged 46.2% or $11.90 to $37.85 after the Israel-based medical device maker was granted FDA clearance to sell the Personal in the United States and is only the company in the U.S. to received sale approval of exoskeleton, for home use of its device.

Exoskeleton maker was completed its $36 million initial public offering and soared $13.60 to $25.60 on the first day of trading on Sept 12.
