India Movers: Reliance Industries Net Jumps 14%, Canara Bank Net Up 2%

The Sensex Index increased 73.61 or 0.3% to close at 25,715.17 The CNX Nifty gained 20.30 to 7,684.20.

Gainers & Losers

Canara Bank Ltd dropped 2.7% to Rs 400.80 after net profit in the first-quarter increased 1.7% to Rs 806.86 crore and total revenue climbed 11.6% to Rs 11,728.01 crore.

As of June, ratio of net non-performing assets to net advances dropped 2.03% from 2.48% a year ago period.

CRISIL Ltd declined 3.8% to Rs 1,910.80 after net profit in the first-quarter slumped 4.4% to Rs 57.83 crore and revenues climbed 14.8% to Rs 305.13 crore

GMR Infrastructure Ltd slid 0.2% to Rs 26.25 after the group plans to develop a port in Kakinada Special Economic Zone at coastal area of Andhra Pradesh at an investment of about Rs 2,500 crore.

Housing Development Finance Corp Ltd climbed 3.1% to Rs 1,011.05 after net profit in the first-quarter jumped 9.7% to Rs 1,872.90 crore and total revenue surged 18.5% to Rs 10,039.40 crore.

Hindustan Zinc Ltd fell 0.7% to Rs 164.20 after net profit in the first-quarter dropped 3% to Rs 1,618 crore and revenue rose 1% to Rs 2,963 crore.

Idea Cellular Ltd gained 1% to Rs 139.75 after net profit in the first-quarter surged 57.4% to Rs.728 crore and revenue climbed 15.6% Rs.7,561 crore.

Reliance Industries Limited climbed 2.1% to Rs 997.35 after net profit in the first-quarter soared 13.7% to Rs 5,957 crore and revenue jumped 7.2% to Rs 1,07,905 crore.

Reliance Power Limited slipped 1.4% to Rs 95.30 after net profit in the first-quarter grew 1.7% to Rs 244 crore and revenue soared 56.1% to Rs 1,753 crore.

Reliance Infrastructure Ltd slid 0.06% to Rs 766.05 after net profit in the first-quarter plunged 10.4% to Rs 458 crore and revenues plunged 23.9% to Rs 4,151 crore.

Tata Metaliks Limited surged 9.9% to Rs 113.20 after net in the first-quarter swung to profit of Rs 34.32 crore compared to a loss of Rs 13.21 crore and revenues rose 4.6% to Rs 358.53 crore.

UltraTech Cement Ltd decreased 0.9% to Rs 2,524 after net profit in the first-quarter declined 6.1% to Rs 628 crore and net sales climbed 13.6% to Rs 5,989 crore.
