The Sensex Index declined 348.04 or 1.4% to close at 25,228.17 The CNX Nifty dropped 107.80 to 7,542.10. For the week, Sensex slipped 1.4%.

Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited slumped 2.7% to Rs 237.70 after the company successfully commissioned 68 megawatts hydro power plant in Himachal Pradesh.
Central Bank of India declined 5.2% to Rs 76.45 after the board approved a proposal to raising additional capital by issuing 71 million shares to LIC on a preferential basis.
Edelweiss Capital Limited fell 1.4% to Rs 59.10 after its subsidiary Edelweiss Financial Services intends to issue a non-convertible debenture of Rs. 200 crore.
Hero Motocorp Ltd dropped 4.4% to Rs 2,588.85 after the private equity firm Bain Capital plans to sell approx half of its holding worth about $300 million through block deals.
Indian Overseas Bank plunged 5.5% to Rs 80.20 after the bank plans to issue shares to the government to raise Rs 3,500 crore.
Reliance Industries Limited dropped 1.2% to Rs 1,081.95 and the company’s subsidiary Reliance Jio Infocomm plans to set up 14 data centers across the country for cloud-based services.
