The Sensex Index slipped 167.37 or 0.7% to close at 24,549.51 The CNX Nifty fell 41.05 to 7,318.

Gainers & Losers

Bharat Forge Ltd climbed 5.5% to Rs 498.50 after net profit in the fourth-quarter surged 137.6% to Rs 118.98 crore and revenue jumped 38.5% to Rs 963.12 crore.

Dish TV India Limited increased 1.6% to Rs 53.95 after net loss in the fourth-quarter widened to Rs 149.05 crore from Rs 43.62 crore and sales climbed 14.5% to Rs 634.85 crore.

GAIL (India) Limited plunged 7.6% to Rs 379.05 after net profit in the fourth-quarter climbed 57.2% to Rs 972.03 crore and net sales jumped 16.6% to Rs 14,464.29 crore.

For the year, net profit rose 8.8% to Rs 4,375.27 crore and net sales soared 20.9% to Rs 57,245.10 crore.

Jaypee Infratech Limited tumbled 11.2% to Rs 32.80 after net profit in the fourth-quarter slumped 91.1% to Rs 13.19 crore and net sales dropped 20.2% to Rs 765.06 crore.

Jubilant Life Sciences Ltd gained 1.2% to Rs 188.25 after the company reported net in the fourth-quarter swung to profit Rs 98.81 crore compared to a loss of Rs 30.97 crore and total revenue jumped 12.1% to Rs 1,562.33 crore.

Power Finance Corporation Limited declined 4.6% to Rs 293.95 after net profit in the fourth-quarter jumped 9.06% to Rs 1,411.41 crore and total revenue climbed 20.7% to Rs 5,636.09 crore.

For the year, net profit soared 22.6% to Rs 5,417.75 crore and total revenue surged 24.7% to Rs 21,537.46 crore.

Sonata Software Limited surged 19.9% to Rs 53.90 after net profit in the fourth-quarter increased 9% to Rs 23.57 crore and revenues declined 12% to Rs 340.71 crore.

TV18 Broadcast Ltd soared 4.9% to Rs 34.40 after net profit in the fourth-quarter climbed 107.5% to Rs 35.90 crore and total revenue jumped 16.5% to Rs 572.25 crore.

Wockhardt Limited dropped 4.4% to Rs 668.45 after net profit in the fourth-quarter plunged 77.8% to Rs 74.45 crore and total revenue plummeted 27.9% to Rs 1,059.67 crore.

For the year, net profit slipped 47.3% to Rs 840.71 crore and total revenue fell 12.7% to Rs 4,914.64 crore.

Usha Martin Limited slumped 5% to Rs 38.85 45 after the company reported net in the fourth-quarter swung to a loss Rs 30.57 crore compared to profit of Rs 9 crore and revenues climbed 26% to Rs 1,009.67 crore.
