Teradata, Tesla Motors Drop; MAXIMUS Soars

Apache Corporation ((APA)) fell 17 cents to $87.58 after the oil and gas explorer reported total revenue in the first-quarter ending in March slipped 7.1% to $3.67 billion.

Net income in the quarter tumbled 66.2% to $236 million or 60 cents a diluted share compared to $698 million or $1.76.

Dean Foods Co ((DF)) slumped 4.7% or 73 cents to $14.62 after the food and beverage company said net sales in the first-quarter ending in March was flat at $2.3 billion.

Net in the quarter swung to a loss $8.96 million or 9 cents a diluted share compared to a profit of $492.6 million or $5.30.

Intercontinentalexchange Group Inc ((ICE)) dropped 3.4% or $7.80 to $193.95 after the exchanges and clearing house operator reported total revenue in the first-quarter ending in March soared 240.3% to $1.2 billion.

Net income in the quarter surged 94.1% to $262 million or $2.27 a diluted share compared to $135 million or $1.85.

MAXIMUS, Inc ((MMS)) surged 7.1% or $2.97 to $45.01 after the business process service provider said revenue in the second-quarter climbed 35% to $439 million.

Net income in the quarter jumped 30% to $41.2 million or 59 cents a diluted share compared to $31.7 million or 45 cents.

Priceline Group Inc ((PCLN)) slipped $3.91 to $1,127.83 after the online travel company reported total revenue in the first-quarter ending in March climbed 26.2% to $1.64 billion.

Net income in the quarter surged 35.6% to $331.2 million or $6.25 a diluted share compared to $244.3 million or $4.76.

Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Inc ((REGN)) gained $2.64 to $289.30 after the biopharmaceutical company stated total revenue in the first-quarter ending in March surged 42% to $626 million.

Net income in the quarter plunged 34% to $65 million or 58 cents a diluted share compared to $99 million or 90 cents.

Teradata Corporation ((TDC)) plummeted 11.2% or $4.91 to $39.06 after the data warehousing services provider reported revenue in the first-quarter ending in March jumped 7% to $628 million.

Net income in the quarter was flat at $59 million from a year ago and diluted earnings per share rose to 37 cents from 35 cents a year earlier.

Tesla Motors Inc ((TSLA)) plunged 6.7% or $13.40 to $187.87 after the electric vehicles maker said total revenue in the first-quarter ending in March climbed 10.4% to $620.5 million.

Net in the quarter swung to loss $49.8 million or 40 cents a diluted share compared to a profit of $11.2 million or break even a year ago.
