SYSCO Jump; Koppers, Pfizer, Tyson Foods Decline

AAON, Inc ((AAON)) surged 7.5% or $2.18 to $31.08 after the air-conditioning and heating equipment maker said net sales in the first-quarter ending in March climbed 14.3% to $76.4 million.

Net income in the quarter surged 37.6% to $9.8 million or 26 cents a diluted share compared to $7.1 million or 19 cents.

Brookfield Infrastructure Partners L.P ((BIP)) rose 13 cents to $39.37 after the transport and energy provider reported revenue in the first-quarter ending in March increased 3.7% to $480 million.

Net in the quarter swung to profit $32 million or 10 cents a diluted share compared to a loss of $28 million or 17 cents.

BroadSoft Inc ((BSFT)) tumbled 20.8% or $5.45 to $19.55 after the communication software provider stated total revenue in the first-quarter ending in March jumped 11% to $43.9 million.

Net loss in the quarter widened to $7.5 million or 26 cents a diluted share compared to $2.3 million or 8 cents.

Emerge Energy Services LP ((EMES)) jumped 2.5% or $1.86 to $76.91 after the oil refiner said revenues in the first-quarter ending in March soared 80.2% to $274.1 million.

Net income in the quarter climbed 86.8% to $18.5 million or 77 cents a diluted share compared to $9.9 million.

Koppers Holdings Inc ((KOP)) declined 6.1% or $2.60 to $40 after the wood treatment products provider stated sales in the first-quarter ending in March plunged 11% to $331.4 million.

Net income in the quarter plummeted 80% to $2.2 million or 11 cents a diluted share compared to $11 million or 53 cents.

Pfizer Inc ((PFE)) dropped 2.1% or 65 cents to $30.10 after the biopharmaceutical company reported revenue in the first-quarter ending in March declined 9% to $11.35 billion.

Net income in the quarter plunged 15% to $2.33 billion or 36 cents a diluted share compared to $2.75 billion or 38 cents.

SYSCO Corporation ((SYY)) gained 1.1% or 44 cents to $36.66 after the food and related products distributor reported sales in the third-quarter ending in March jumped 3.2% to $11.3 billion.

Net earnings in the quarter declined 10.2% to $180.9 million or 31 cents a diluted share compared to $201.4 million or 34 cents.

Tyson Foods, Inc ((TSN)) plunged 8.2% or $3.50 to $39.16 after the meat processor said sales in the second-quarter ending in March climbed 7.7% to $9 billion.

Net income in the quarter soared 124.2% to $213 million or 60 cents a diluted share compared to $95 million or 26 cents.
