Bata India net rose 2% and revenue climbed 9%. HeidelbergCement India net swung to profit after sales soared. KEC Intl net swung to a profit. Merck profit climbed 75%. NOCIL net tumbled 55% but sales surged 46%. Shriram City Union Finance net soared 20%.

The Sensex Index slid 13.91 to close at 22,403.89. The CNX Nifty fell 1.60 to close at 6,694.80. For the week, Sensex dropped 2.1%.

Gainers & Losers

Bata India Ltd declined 4.6% to Rs 1,018.80 after net profit in the fourth-quarter rose 2.44% to Rs 39.40 crore and revenues climbed 9.1% to Rs 495.43 crore.

Carborundum Universal Ltd jumped 2.6% to Rs 142.45 after net profit in the fourth-quarter climbed 107.7% to Rs 24.94 crore and net sales increased 9.7% to Rs 525.05 crore.

HeidelbergCement India Ltd soared 12.7% to Rs 46.95 after net profit in the fourth-quarter soared to Rs 47.85 crore and net sales jumped 8.9% to Rs 402.99 crore.

Hindustan Construction Company Limited climbed 7.1% to Rs 20.40 after net in the fourth-quarter swung to profit Rs 24.40 crore compared to a loss of Rs 50.30 crore and sales soared 20% to Rs 1,184 crore.

KEC International Ltd gained 1.8% to Rs 76.95 after net in the fourth-quarter swung to profit Rs 34 crore compared to a loss of Rs 14 crore and net sales rose 1.2% to Rs 2,176 crore.

Merck Limited slumped 2.8% to Rs 655 after net profit in the first-quarter climbed 74.58% to Rs 3.55 crore and total revenue jumped 6.4% to Rs 193.71 crore.

NOCIL Limited plunged 4.8% to Rs 17.80 after net profit in the fourth-quarter tumbled 55.5% to Rs 10.08 crore and net sales surged 46.5% to Rs 172.34 crore.

Shriram City Union Finance Limited climbed 4.2% to Rs 1,233.10 net profit in the fourth-quarter soared 20.5% to Rs 151.36 crore and total revenue fell 0.8% to Rs 833.94 crore.
