Dabur net jumped 17% on 15% rise in sales. HCL profit increased 11%. Hexaware Tech net declined 32%. Idea Cellular profit soared 26% after revenue rose 6%. Sesa Sterlite net and revenue surged. TVS Motor net swung to profit. Tata Sponge net jumped.

The Sensex Index dropped 165.42 or 0.7% to close at 22,466.19. The CNX Nifty slipped 46 to close at 6,715.25.

Gainers & Losers

Dabur India Limited slipped 1.4% to Rs 177.70 after net profit in the fourth-quarter jumped 17.3% to Rs 235.29 crore and net sales climbed 15.5% to Rs 1,769.02 crore.

For the year, net profit advanced 19.7% to Rs 913.92 crore and revenues surged 15.1% to Rs 7,073.21 crore.

HCL Infosystems Limited declined 6.3% to Rs 46.65 after net profit in the third-quarter increased 11.3% to Rs 2.56 crore and revenues rose 8.42% to Rs 1,316.49 crore.

Hexaware Technologies Limited plunged 10.7% to Rs 153.15 after net profit in the first-quarter declined 31.9% to Rs 70.30 crore and revenues increased 5.02% to Rs 588.87 crore.

Idea Cellular Ltd slid 0.07% to Rs 140.65 after net profit in the fourth-quarter surged 26.07% to Rs 589.80 crore and total revenue rose 6.51% to Rs 7,043.80 crore.

For the year, net profit climbed 94.6% to Rs 1,967.80 crore and total revenues jumped 18.08% to Rs 26,518.90 crore.

KPIT Technologies Ltd fell 1.6% to Rs 168.85 after net profit in the fourth-quarter surged 101.8% to Rs 45.80 crore and sales climbed 62.8% to Rs 270.25 crore.

Sesa Sterlite Ltd dropped 1.4% to Rs 190.40 after net profit in the fourth-quarter soared 445.04% to Rs 1,621.55 crore and total revenues surged to Rs 20,894.41 crore.

TVS Motor Company Limited climbed 6.1% to Rs 92.25 after net in the fourth-quarter swung to profit Rs 52 crore compared to a loss of Rs 33 crore a year ago and revenue in the quarter jumped 21% to Rs 2,156 crore.

Tata Sponge Iron Ltd surged 20% to Rs 574 after net profit in the fourth-quarter jumped 335.9% to Rs 40.50 crore and revenue climbed 11.9% to Rs 236.56 crore.
