Godrej Consumer net plunged 29% but revenue soared. IDFC profit plummeted 51%. Hindustan Unilever net jumped 11% after sales climbed 10%. Siemens net surged 195% and revenue dropped 9%. Symphony profit soared 50% and sales climbed. UPL net jumped 17%.

The Sensex Index fell 56.46 or 0.2% to close at 22,631.61. The CNX Nifty slid 21.50 to close at 6,761.25.

Gainers & Losers

Godrej Consumer Products Limited dropped 2.8% to Rs 783.25 after net profit in the fourth-quarter plunged 29.3% to Rs 236.28 crore and total revenues soared 12.2% to Rs 1,931.52 crore.

IDFC Ltd gained 0.3% to Rs 114.50 after net profit in the fourth-quarter plummeted 50.9% to Rs 257.94 crore and total revenues edged up 0.05% to Rs 2,219.57 crore.

For the year, net profit fell 1.8% to Rs 1802.68 crore and total revenues jumped 7.9% to to Rs 8,790 crore.

Hindustan Unilever Limited slid 0.02% to Rs 580.60 after net profit in the fourth-quarter jumped 10.8% to Rs 872.13 crore and total sales climbed 10.2% to Rs 7,244.73 crore.

For the year, net profit rose 3% to Rs 3,945.57 crore and total sales increased 8.2% to Rs 29,804.26 crore.

Siemens Ltd rose 0.7% to Rs 744.70 after net profit in the second-quarter climbed 194.7% to Rs 88.27 crore and net sales declined 8.6% to Rs 2,657.74 crore.

The company said new orders booked in the quarter dropped of Rs 2,620.10 crore from Rs 2,806.50 crore a year ago period.

Symphony Limited climbed 6.4% to Rs 836.05 after net profit in the third-quarter surged 50.2% to Rs 27.03 crore and revenues soared 32.4% to Rs 116.29 crore.

Shree Cement Limited slumped 2% to Rs 5,700.05 after net profit in the third-quarter dropped 18.8% to Rs 222.51 crore and total revenue jumped 15.4% to Rs 1,714.56 crore.

Wockhardt Limited surged 11.7% to Rs 721.80 after the company said the regulators in Himachal Pradesh lifted the ban on suspension of manufacture and sale of a product.

UPL Ltd jumped 20.2% to Rs 276.90 after net profit in the fourth-quarter surged 29.4% to Rs 360.28 crore and total revenues climbed 18.5% to Rs 3,365.23 crore.

For the year, net profit soared 22.6% to Rs 949.79 crore and total revenues increased 17.3% to Rs 10,902.23 crore.
