India Movers: NMDC, Maruti, Ratnamani Metals, Shilpa, Tata Motors

The Sensex Index fell 86.37 or 0.4% to close at 22,628.96. The CNX Nifty slipped 20.10 to close at 6,776.30. For the week, Sensex gained 0.5%.

Gainers & Losers

Atul Ltd surged 6% to Rs 485.70 after the company’s U.K.-based subsidiary sold its 50% stake in M Dohmen SA for €2.55 million.

NMDC Limited increased 1% to Rs 151.15 after the company unveiled provisional production and dispatches data for the year ending in March.

The company said total iron ore production jumped 3% to 30.18 million tons and dispatches in the year ending in March climbed 4.4% to 30.87 million tons from a year ago.

Maruti Suzuki India Ltd dropped 1.3% to Rs 1,933.75 after the company said it will proactively replace fuel filler neck of 103,311 vehicles manufactured between 12 November 2013 and 4 February 2014.

Ratnamani Metals and Tubes Limited jumped 2.1% to Rs 265.50 after the company secured two orders valued Rs 412.62 crore for supply of carbon steel pipes.

Sanghi Industries Ltd climbed 4.1% to Rs 17.65 and a 1.98% equity block changed hands in a bulk deal on Bombay Stock Exchange today.

Shilpa Medicare Ltd gained 2% to Rs 442.40 after the board is scheduled to meet today to consider a preferential share issue.

Tata Motors Limited dropped 1.7% to Rs 423.25 and the company launched a new version of crossover vehicle Aria with starting price of Rs 9,95,000 (ex-showroom Delhi).
