The Sensex Index gained 12.99 to close at 22,715.33. The CNX Nifty edged up 0.20 to close at 6,796.40.

Gainers & Losers

D.B. Corp Limited rose 0.2% to Rs 291.55 after HDFC Mutual Fund bought 0.54% stake in the company on yesterday.

Man Industries (India) Limited surged 7.9% to Rs 70.20 after the company has an order book of around Rs 1,200 crore, including recently received orders worth Rs 700 crore from domestic and international customers.

Piramal Enterprises Ltd jumped 3.7% to Rs 556.15 after the company agreed to divest its entire equity stake of 11% in Vodafone India Limited to Prime Metals Ltd an indirect subsidiary of Vodafone Group Plc for a total consideration of Rs.8,900 crore.

Sesa Sterlite Ltd gained 0.3% to Rs 198.30 after the company announced its production results for the fourth-quarter and year ending in March.

The mining company said mined metal production for the year was marginally higher to 880,000 tons from a year ago and refined zinc production climbed to 10,000 tons compared to third-quarter.

Average gross production for the oil and gas in the year jumped 6% to 218,651 barrels of oil equivalent per day from a year earlier.

Suven Life Sciences Ltd. increased 2.8% to Rs 77.45 after the company said it had secured two product patents for their New Chemical Entities in Canada and Hong Kong.

State Bank of India jumped 2.1% to Rs 2,026.85 after the bank is set to raise $750 million to $1 billion through bond sales.
