The Sensex Index gained 40.09 or 0.2% to close at 22,095.30. The CNX Nifty rose 11.65 to close at 6,601.40.

Gainers & Losers

Godrej Properties Limited jumped 2.4% to Rs 186.60 after the company signed partnership to develop a residential project in Pune.

Jbm Auto Ltd climbed 5% to Rs 127.40 after the company said the commercial operation of its new bus project is commencing from October 2014.

Oberoi Realty Limited soared 9.7% to Rs 217.95 after the company won auction for 25-acres land parcel for about $190 million or Rs 1,155 crore from Tata Steel in Mumbai suburb Borivali.

SREI Infrastructure Finance Limited surged 12.1% to Rs 28.30 after the company received approval from the Reserve Bank of India to operate payment system for white label ATMs from today.

Sintex Industries Ltd advanced 2.9% to Rs 42.70 after the company decided to sell its entire stake in its wholly-owned subsidiary Zep Infratech to Khadayata Decor.

Suven Life Sciences Ltd slid 0.8% to Rs 70.60 after the company obtained two patents from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office for New Chemical Entities for treatment of neurodegenerative diseases.
