Apple, Herbalife Rise; Gilead Sciences Falls

Apple Inc ((AAPL)) gained 1.1% or $5.82 to $538.66 after the mobile and media devices maker and Comcast Corporation discussed for streaming-television service that would allow Apple set-top boxes to bypass congestion on the web. The news was first reported by The Wall Street Journal.

Gilead Sciences, Inc dropped 2.2% or $1.61 to $70.46 after the U.S. lawmakers have asked biopharmaceuticals to justify the price of its new $84,000 drug for hepatitis C patients.

Herbalife Ltd ((HLF)) climbed 4.5% or $2.23 to $51.78 after the multi-level marketing company said it will nominate three board members supported by activist investor Carl Icahn. If members are voted in on April 29 annual meeting, Icahn will have five of 13 board members

Microsoft Corporation ((MSFT)) fell 28 cents to $39.88 after the Nokia Corporation said it will not close the sale of its phone business until April.

St. Jude Medical, Inc ((STJ)) rose 4 cents to $65.65 after the medical devices maker received approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for pacemakers including the Allure Quadra.
