The Sensex Index soared 405.92 or 1.9% to close at 21,919.79. The CNX Nifty jumped 125.50 to close at 6,526.65.
For the week, Sensex climbed 3.8%.

Central Bank of India increased 1.4% to Rs 46.20 and the bank sold its entire stake in Credit Information Bureau of India to Transunion International Inc. for an undisclosed amount.
Era Infra Engineering Limited climbed 4.9% to Rs 13.96 after the won contracts for escalators from Mumbai Railway Vikas Corporation worth Rs 128 crore.
Just Dial Ltd plunged 7.9% to Rs 1,607 after the company’s three officials sold 4,506 shares for approx Rs 76,33,000 in an open market transaction.
Prism Cement Limited surged 6.3% to Rs 30.15 after the company commenced coal production at the Prism Coal Mine in Madhya Pradesh.
Reliance Communications Ltd jumped 3.9% to Rs 118.30 after the company plans to raise debt or equity to fund its expansion plans.
Sadbhav Engineering Limited slid 0.1% to Rs 88.90 after the company secured road contract worth Rs 139.50 crore in Odisa.
