The Sensex Index increased 134.52 or 0.6 to close at 20,986.99. The CNX Nifty gained 38.75 to close at 6,238.80.

Gainers & Losers

Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited gained 1.6% to Rs 162.05 after the power generating systems maker secured a contract worth Rs 321 crore for setting up a 206 megawatts hydro electric project in Punjab.

Clariant Chemicals (India) Ltd plunged 4.9% to Rs 608.85 after the company reported net in the fourth-quarter swung to a loss Rs 6.10 crore compared to a profit of Rs 22.05 crore.

Total revenue in the quarter dropped 3.4% to Rs 280.60 crore.

Credit Analysis And Research Ltd declined 3.3% to Rs 736.10 after the IDBI Bank and four other shareholders said they failed to find a suitable buyer for their stakes.

Jindal Poly Films Ltd slipped 1% to Rs 140.35 after in the fourth-quarter swung to a profit Rs 5.42 crore compared to a loss of Rs 39.09 crore.

Sales in the quarter surged 21.2% to Rs 588.09 crore.

Polaris Financial Technology Ltd surged 14% to Rs 164.75 after the company said there is no plan to sell a stake in the company.

Paper Products Limited climbed 8.7% to Rs 90.75 after its Indian promoters sold his entire 3.01% stake to its foreign partner Huhtavefa BV for Rs 190.11 per share on February 21.

Ramco Systems Ltd increased 1.4% to Rs 196 after the company said the U.S. based Columbia Helicopters has successfully deployed its aviation software.

Sanofi India Ltd jumped 3.3% to Rs 2,728.40 after net profit in the fourth-quarter surged 106.9% to Rs 92.70 crore and total revenues soared 15.5% to Rs 488.30 crore.
