The Sensex Index jumped 97.24 or 0.5% to close at 20,464.06. The CNX Nifty gained 24.95 to close at 6,073.30.

Gainers & Losers

ABG Shipyard Ltd declined 4.6% to Rs 250.25 after the company reported net in the third-quarter swung to a loss Rs 156.08 crore compared to a profit of Rs 18.62 crore.

Net sales in the quarter plunged 39.2% to Rs 284.55 crore.

Allcargo Logistics Limited soared 4.9% to Rs 139.90 after net profit in the third-quarter surged 58% to Rs 57.02 crore and net sales climbed 55.9% to Rs 1,516.41 crore.

DLF Limited slipped 1% to Rs 143 after net profit in the third-quarter climbed 45% to Rs 145 crore and total revenue jumped 16% to Rs 2,590 crore.

The company said as on date, net debt stands approximately at Rs 17,400 crore.

MMTC Limited dropped 2.6% to Rs 46.35 after the company reported net in the third-quarter swung to a loss Rs 8.71 crore compared to a profit of Rs 28.84 crore.

Net sales in the quarter declined 33.3% to Rs 4,775.97 crore.

Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Ltd climbed 3.9% to Rs 14.60 after company reported net in the third-quarter swung to a profit Rs 428.03 crore compared to a loss of Rs 1,182.18 crore.

Total revenue in the quarter rose 1.7% to Rs 847.20 crore.

Punj Lloyd Limited slumped 4.3% to Rs 26.45 after company reported net in the third-quarter swung to a loss Rs 139.48 crore compared to a profit of Rs 8.77 crore.

Net sales in the quarter fell 2.3% to Rs 2,710.76 crore.

Steel Authority of India Limited dropped 2% to Rs 60.20 after net profit in the third-quarter jumped 9.9% to Rs 532.60 crore and total revenue increased 7.1% to Rs 11,667.52 crore.

Suzlon Energy Limited dropped 4.7% to Rs 10.41 after net loss in the third-quarter narrowed to Rs 673.62 crore compared to Rs 930.90 crore.

Net sales in the quarter soared to Rs 505.81 crore.
