The Sensex Index declined 255.14 or 1.2% to close at 20,193.49. The CNX Nifty dropped 82.90 to close at 6,001.10.

Gainers & Losers

Cipla Limited plummeted 7.7% to Rs 381 after net profit in the third-quarter plunged 17% to Rs 284 crore and revenues jumped 22% to Rs 2581 crore.

Cipla said domestic revenue climbed 12.6% to Rs 1,044 crore and exports of formulations soared 34.4% to Rs 1,352 crore.

Eros International Media Limited jumped 3% to Rs 161.80 after net profit in the third-quarter climbed 41.1% to Rs 91.99 crore and total revenue jumped 17.1% to Rs 432.68 crore.

Hindalco Industries Limited dropped 3.2% to Rs 100.20 after net profit in the third-quarter tumbled 23% to Rs 334 crore and revenues advanced 5.8% to Rs 7,273 crore.

Hindustan Copper Limited slipped 3.2% to Rs 59.85 after net profit in the third-quarter declined 9% to Rs 68.96 crore and net sales surged 37.3% to Rs 426.48 crore.

Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited plunged 3.3% to Rs 273.40 after net profit in the third-quarter jumped 2.8% to Rs 6,063.86 crore and net sales climbed 12.8% Rs 22,311.98 crore

Max India Limited slid 0.6% to Rs 185.15 after net profit in the third-quarter surged 176.7% to Rs 73.68 crore and total revenue climbed 16.6% to Rs 295.54 crore.

NCC Limited plunged 7.3% to Rs 24.10 after net profit in the third-quarter tumbled 61.58% to Rs 4.76 crore and total revenues soared 22% to Rs 1,903.18 crore.

Page Industries Limited fell 1.1% to Rs 5,570 after net profit in the third-quarter surged 36.2% to Rs 34.63 crore and net sales climbed 39.9% to Rs 302.51 crore.

Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Limited rose 0.6% to Rs 614.70 after net profit in the third-quarter soared 71.3% to Rs 1,531.09 crore and revenues climbed 51.6% to Rs 4,446.82 crore.

Tata Communications Limited slumped 3.9% to Rs 290.80 after net profit in the third-quarter plunged 54.6% to Rs 36.51 crore and net sales edged up 0.02% to Rs 4,953.65 crore.
