BPCL net swung to a loss on 3.8% rise in revenues. GMR Infra net loss widened. HPCL reported larger than expected loss. National Fertilizers net swung to a profit on 36% rise in sales. Oil India net declined 4% and revenue climbed 5%. Tata Steel profit declined 45%.

The Sensex Index increased 85.12 or 0.4% to close at 20,448.49. The CNX Nifty rose 21.30 to close at 6,084.

Gainers & Losers

Bharat Petroleum Corp Ltd gained 1.5% to Rs 364.80 after the company reported net in the third-quarter swung to a loss Rs 1,088.94 crore compared to a profit of Rs 1,647.57 crore.

BPCL said total revenue in the quarter rose 3.8% to Rs 64,767.62 crore.

GMR Infrastructure Ltd advanced 1% to Rs 19.90 after net loss in the third-quarter widened to Rs 441.09 crore from Rs 217.45 crore.

Total revenue in the quarter surged 13.9% to Rs 2,783.54 crore.

Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited fell 1.7% to Rs 245.45 after the company reported net in the third-quarter swung to a loss Rs 1,733.91 crore compared to a profit of Rs 147.11 crore.

Total revenue in the quarter grew 3.8% to Rs 55,454.99 crore.

JB Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals Limited rose 1.9% to Rs 132.50 after the company reported net in the third-quarter swung to a loss Rs 6.47 crore compared to a profit of Rs 21.87 crore.

Net sales in the quarter soared 17.2% to Rs 234.22 crore.

National Fertilizers Limited jumped 3% to Rs 23.55 after the company reported net in the third-quarter swung to a profit Rs 23.02 crore compared to a loss of Rs 12.42 crore.

Total sales in the quarter climbed 36.4% to Rs 2,480.49 crore.

Oil India Limited increased 1.2% to Rs 461.05 after net profit in the third-quarter declined 3.9% to Rs 902.96 crore and revenues climbed 5.4% to Rs 3,052.37 crore.

Tata Steel Limited plummeted 4% to Rs 374.35 after net profit in the third-quarter declined 45.1% to Rs 503.24 crore and revenues slid 0.2% to Rs 36,754.38 crore.

United Breweries Limited declined 3.1% to Rs 788.15 after the company reported net in the third-quarter swung to a loss Rs 3.55 crore compared to a profit of Rs 38.92 crore.

Net sales in the quarter climbed 30.6% to Rs 135.02 crore.
