Aditya Birla Nuvo net jumped 22% but revenues declined. CEAT profit climbed and revenue surged. Dr. Reddy''s net soared 70% after sales jumped 23%. NMDC net surged 21%. NOCIL net climbed 53%. Tata Motors net surged 195% on a rise in luxury segment sales.

The Sensex Index rose 29.10 to close at 20,363.37. The CNX Nifty gained 9.25 to close at 6,062.70.

Gainers & Losers

Aditya Birla Nuvo Ltd rose 0.5% to Rs 1,103.40 after net profit in the third-quarter jumped 22% to Rs 103.86 crore and revenue declined 18.6% to Rs 2,199.57 crore.

Ceat Limited increased 0.7% to Rs 316.50 after net profit in the third-quarter climbed 198.5% to Rs 66.95 crore and total revenue surged 15.3% to Rs 1,442.34 crore.

Dr. Reddy''s Laboratories Limited slid 0.7% to Rs 2,658.95 after net profit in the third-quarter surged 70.21% to Rs 618.42 crore and total sales jumped 22.9% to Rs 3,551.49 crore.

The generic pharmaceuticals maker said revenue from global generics segment soared 41% to Rs 2,940 crore and revenue from the pharmaceutical services and active ingredients segment declined 29% to Rs 510 crore.

The company added research and development expenses climbed 47% to Rs 300 crore.

Hinduja Global Solutions Ltd jumped 5.8% to Rs 611 after net profit in the third-quarter climbed 26% to Rs 54.1 crore and net sales rose 1.5% to Rs 656.9 crore.

The Indian Hotels Company Limited climbed 4.1% to Rs 60.05 after net profit in the third-quarter rose 1.38% to Rs 65.51 crore and revenue grew 3.62% to Rs 564.24 crore.

Kirloskar Electric Company Ltd plunged 6.7% to Rs 18.20 after the company reported net in the third-quarter swung to a loss Rs 19.54 crore compared to a net profit of Rs 1.15 crore.

Net sales in the quarter dropped 22.7% to Rs 154.48 crore.

NMDC Limited rose 0.4% to Rs 144.95 after net profit in the third-quarter jumped 21.2% to Rs 1,567.30 crore and net sales surged 37.8% to Rs 2,821.53 crore.

NOCIL Limited gained 1.9% to Rs 14.13 after net profit in the third-quarter climbed 52.9% to Rs 8.27 crore and sales jumped 28.3% to Rs 145.63 crore.

Tata Motors Limited jumped 2.8% to Rs 374.30 after net profit in the third-quarter surged 195.1% to Rs 4,805 crore and revenue climbed 38.6% to Rs 63,877 crore.
