BHEL net tumbled 41% after revenue declined 15%. Cummins India profit plunged 37%. Glaxo net climbed 14% as sales surged 19%. Power Finance net climbed 37%. Ranbaxy said quarterly loss narrowed. Redington net jumped 6%. Tech Mahindra profit surged.

The Sensex Index gained 49.10 to close at 20,261.03. The CNX Nifty rose 21.50 to close at 6,022.40.

Gainers & Losers

Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited slipped 1.7% to Rs 160.60 after net profit in the third-quarter tumbled 41.2% to Rs 694.81 crore and revenues declined 15.4% to Rs 8,925.63 crore.

For the quarter, the company has an outstanding orders of about Rs 1,00,600 crore.

Cummins India Limited gained 1.3% to Rs 444.95 after net profit in the third-quarter plunged 37.1% to Rs 147.23 crore and total revenue dropped 6.1% to Rs 1,023.01 crore.

Electrosteel Castings Limited surged 6.9% to Rs 13.98 after net profit in the third-quarter rose 1.9% to Rs 33.73 crore and total sales climbed 6.9% to Rs 512.72 crore.

GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare Ltd gained 1.3% to Rs 4,356.40 after net profit in the third-quarter climbed 14.5% to Rs 79.75 crore and total revenue surged 18.7% to Rs 913.55 crore.

Power Finance Corporation Limited soared 5.5% to Rs 145.55 after net profit in the third-quarter surged 37.4% to Rs 1534.31 crore and revenues jumped 24.2% to Rs 5,547.16 crore.

Ranbaxy Laboratories Limited climbed 5.7% to Rs 340.05 after net profit in the fourth-quarter net loss narrowed to Rs 158.94 crore from Rs 492.44 crore.

Sales in the quarter sales jumped 7% to Rs 2,860 crore.

Redington India Ltd rose 0.5% to Rs 68.70 after net profit in the third-quarter jumped 5.8% to Rs 86.67 crore and total revenue soared 16.3% to Rs 7,126.91 crore.

Tech Mahindra Ltd climbed 3.9% to Rs 1,838.25 after net profit in the third-quarter surged 40.6% to Rs 1,010 crore and revenue grew 2.7% to Rs 4,899 crore.

Tube Investments of India Limited dropped 1.9% to Rs 177.20 after net profit in the third-quarter soared 12.3% to Rs 76.56 crore and net sales climbed 18.8% to Rs 2,113.96 crore.
