Bank of India net plunged 27%. Crompton net swung to a profit. GSFC profit plummeted 26% and sales declined 16%. JSW Energy net tumbled 35%. Muthoot Finance net plunged 28%. NALCO profit jumped 10%. Siemens net rose 2%. Titan net declined 19%.

The Sensex Index slumped 149.05 or 0.7% to close at 20,498.25. The CNX Nifty dropped 46.55 to close at 6,073.70.

Gainers & Losers

Bank of India tumbled 10.5% to Rs 186.35 after net profit in the third-quarter plunged 27.1% to Rs 585.82 crore and total revenue soared 21.3% to Rs 10,866.29 crore.

The bank said ratio of gross non-performing assets to gross advances for the quarter dropped to 2.81% from 3.08% a year ago.

Crompton Greaves Limited surged 7.9% to Rs 110.45 after the company reported net in the third-quarter swung to a profit Rs 62.02 crore compared to a loss of Rs 189.36 crore.

Total revenue in the quarter jumped 13% to Rs 3,392.35 crore.

Gujarat State Fertilizers & Chemicals Ltd slumped 2.4% to Rs 47.45 after net profit in the third-quarter plummeted 25.9% to Rs 101.20 crore and net sales declined 15.7% to Rs 1,458.40 crore.

JSW Energy Limited slipped 1% to Rs 43.80 after net profit in the third-quarter declined 34.7% to Rs 203 crore and revenue dropped 9% to Rs 2,151 crore.

Muthoot Finance Ltd declined 3% to Rs 122.25 after net profit in the third-quarter tumbled 28.1% to Rs 194.25 crore and revenue plunged 12.4% to Rs 1185.55 crore.

National Aluminium Company Limited dropped 3.6% to Rs 35.20 after net profit in the third-quarter jumped 10.2% to Rs 131.03 crore and revenue fell 2.3% to Rs 1,764.64 crore.

Siemens Ltd slid 0.3% to Rs 537.15 after net profit in the first-quarter grew 2.4% to Rs 65.13 crore and total revenue increased 4.1% to Rs 2,401.45 crore.

In the quarter, the company registered Rs 2,005.80 crore of new orders.

Titan Company Ltd jumped 3.7% to Rs 222.45 after net profit in the third-quarter declined 18.8% to Rs 165.57 crore and total revenue dropped 11.1% to Rs 2,701.84 crore.

TVS Motor Company Limited soared 4.2% to Rs 73.85 after net profit in the third-quarter surged 31.2% to Rs 68.80 crore and net sales climbed 12.9% to Rs 2,034.71 crore.

The company said total two-wheeler sales in the quarter rose 1.8% to 5,12,000 units and motorcycle sales jumped 5.1% to 2.07 lacs units.

Two-wheeler exports registered 22% and three-wheeler sales surged 52% to 20,701 units.
