Bajaj Electricals estimated Rs 5,000 crore sales in fiscal 2014. Maruti Suzuki rose after its parent in Japan plans to increase its holding. IDFC reduced foreign holding to secure a banking license.

The Sensex Index climbed 371.10 or 1.8% to close at 21,079.72. The CNX Nifty advanced 107.60 or 1.7% to close at 6,274.25. For the week, Sensex jumped 1.8%.

Gainers & Losers

Bajaj Electricals Ltd increased 4.7% to Rs 191.95 and estimated sales of Rs 5,000 crore in the fiscal year ending in March 2015.

Just Dial Ltd soared 4.5% to Rs 1,324.75 and the company is selected to be included in the FTSE All Cap index from Monday.

Maruti Suzuki India Ltd gained 1.6% to Rs 1,809.95 and its parent company is Japan plans to increase its holding stake.

As of September, Suzuki held 56.21% in the company worth about Rs 54,000 crore.

Mastek Limited surged 15% to Rs 155.25 and during trading hours the company clarified that there is no development in the company to warrant such volatility in the share price.

IDFC Limited rose 0.9% to Rs 104.85 and reduced the foreign shareholding from 54% to 49.9% in various stages to securing a banking license.

Reliance Industries Limited jumped 4.6% to 893.65 after the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs allowed the company to double the price of natural gas to $8.4 a million British thermal unit from next April.

Welspun Corp Ltd climbed 4.1% to Rs 45.95 and the promoter bought more than 50,000 shares through an open market operation.
