Cairn India board is expected to approve a share buyback plan next week. Cipla acquired a stake of 14.5% in Uganda-based Quality Chemical. Dabur plans to buy manufacturing facility of Delhi-based Northern Aromatics. NHPC is scheduled to begin its $400 million share buyback plan next week.

The Sensex Index slipped 11.66 to close at 20,217.39. The CNX Nifty fell 3.60 to close at 5,995.45. For the week, Sensex rose 0.1%.

Gainers & Losers

Cairn India Limited jumped 3.1% to Rs 326.95 and the company board is scheduled to meet on November 26 to consider a share buyback proposal.

Cipla Limited decreased 0.7% to Rs 384.80 after the company acquired a stake of 14.5% in Uganda-based Quality Chemical Industries Ltd. for $15 million.

Dabur India Limited rose 0.2% to Rs 161.15 after the company plans to buy manufacturing facility of Delhi-based Northern Aromatics Ltd for Rs 15 crore.

DQ Entertainment (International) Limited climbed 3.9% to Rs 18.72 after the company signed a deal with the U.S. based Wild Canary Animation for the overseas animation of ‘Miles from Tomorrowland.’

NHPC Limited dropped 1.7% to Rs 17.65 and the electricity generator is scheduled to start buying back shares worth Rs 2,368 crore from November 29.

Torrent Pharmaceuticals Limited slid 0.5% to Rs 463.50 and the company is in talk with Elder Pharma to buy its domestic business for Rs 1,700 crores.

UFLEX Limited jumped 2.8% to Rs 74.80 after the company transferred 75% stake in its U.S. based subsidiary to Middle East based subsidiary.
