Bharat Petroleum net tumbled 82%. Bata India net soared 17%. CARE net jumped 6%. GMR Infrastructure net loss widened on a slight increase in sales. M&M net climbed 10%. RCapital net profit surged and RCom net soared to Rs 675 crore on a one-time gain. SBI net plunged 35%.

The Sensex Index fell 87.51 or 0.4% to close at 20,194.40. The CNX Nifty slid 28.45 to close at 5,989.60.

Gainers & Losers

Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited slipped 1.4% to Rs 335 after net profit in the second-quarter plunged 81.5% to Rs 931.13 crore and revenues climbed 8.5% to Rs 62,241.32 crore.

Bata India Limited increased 1.6% to Rs 966.90 after net profit in the third-quarter soared 17.3% to Rs 37.59 crore and net sales jumped 14.3% to Rs 484.16 crore.

Credit Analysis and Research Limited jumped 4% to Rs 707 after net profit in the second-quarter jumped 6% to Rs 35.10 crore and revenues increased 6.3% to Rs 70.70 crore.

GMR Infrastructure, Ltd declined 5% to Rs 20.90 after consolidated net loss in the second-quarter widened to Rs 393.05 crore compared to Rs 179.30 crore. Sales grew 0.9% to Rs 2,500.34 crore.

Gujarat Gas Company Limited gained 2.6% to Rs 288.45 after consolidated net profit in the third-quarter climbed 19.7% to Rs 119.08 crore and net sales slid 0.2% to Rs 828.30 crore.

Mahindra & Mahindra Limited added 1.8% to Rs 895.30 after net profit in the second-quarter climbed 9.7% to Rs 989.5 crore and revenues grew 3.9% to Rs 18,675.6 crore.

Reliance Capital Ltd slid 0.2% to Rs 343.55 after consolidated net profit in the second-quarter surged 201% to Rs 181 crore and revenues advanced 20% to Rs 1,869 crore.

Reliance Communications Limited climbed 2.5% to Rs 132.35 after consolidated net profit in the second-quarter soared to Rs 675 crore and operating revenue rose 3.7% to Rs 5,394 crore.

State Bank of India gained 1.3% to Rs 1,697.85 after net profit in the second-quarter plunged 35.1% to Rs 2,375.01 crore and total revenue jumped 12.9% to Rs 37,199.92 crore.
