Apollo Tyres net surged 45% but revenue fell 8%. Britannia profit soared 66% after sales jumped 13%.Godrej net climbed 15%. Hindalco net fell 0.6%. NHPC net declined 10%. National Aluminium profit surged. Shalimar Paints net soared 48%.

The Sensex Index declined 209.05 or 1% to close at 20,281.91. The CNX Nifty dropped 60.75 to close at 6,018.05.

Gainers & Losers

Apollo Tyres Ltd declined 5.8% to Rs 70.15 after net profit in the second-quarter surged 45.1% to Rs 109.13 crore and sales dropped 7.7% to Rs 2,106.85 crore.

Britannia Industries Limited climbed 3.7% to Rs 908 after consolidated net profit in the second quarter soared 65.7% to Rs 97.60 crore and revenue jumped 12.8% to Rs 1,740 crore.

Compucom Software Limited slipped 1.5% to Rs 9.01 after net profit in the second-quarter jumped 14.7% to Rs 3.12 crore and sales rose 1.3% to Rs 18.57 crore.

Godrej Industries Limited dropped 3.4% to Rs 271.20 after consolidated net profit in the second-quarter rose 22% to Rs 94 crore compared to revenues grew 2% to Rs 2,083 crore.

Hindalco Industries Limited slid 0.2% to Rs 111.20 after net profit in the second-quarter fell 0.6% to Rs 357 crore and revenues increased 2.3% to Rs 6,305 crore.

NHPC Limited fell 1.1% to Rs 18.05 after net profit in the second-quarter dropped 9.7% to Rs 707.58 crore and revenues slid 3.1% to Rs 1950.23 crore.

National Aluminium Company Limited increased 3.7% to Rs 39.40 after net profit in the second-quarter surged to Rs 179.17 crore and revenues jumped 6.5% to Rs 1,861.07 crore.

Shalimar Paints Limited gained 1.9% to Rs 70.95 after net profit in the second quarter soared 48% to Rs 4.1 crore and revenue advanced 6% to Rs 122.20 crore.

SMS Pharmaceuticals Limited rose 1.8% to Rs 167 after net in the second-quarter swung to a profit Rs 5.11 crore compared to a loss of Rs 13.51 crore. Sales surged 107.2% to Rs 122.14 crore.

Zandu Realty Limited gained 1.3% to Rs 957 after net in the second-quarter swung to a loss Rs 0.20 crore compared to a profit of Rs 1.22 crore.
