The Sensex Index slipped 72.17 or 0.4% to close at 20,822.77 The CNX Nifty fell 27.90 to close at 6,187.25.

Gainers & Losers

Bajaj Electricals Limited increased 1.9% to Rs 174.25 after the company’s engineering and project business won power distribution projects worth Rs 757 crore in Bihar.

Global Offshore Services Limited climbed 3.3% to Rs 53.20 after consolidated net profit in the second-quarter surged 132.4% to Rs 9.25 crore and total revenue soared 54.4% to Rs 81.56 crore.

Info Edge India Ltd surged 10.1% to Rs 419.65 after the company invested $9.2 million in Zomato Media, operator of online food guide portal Zomato.com.

The company added its total cumulative investment in Zomato reached to about Rs 143 crore and controls 50.1% on a fully converted and diluted basis.

Larsen & Toubro Limited slid 0.7% to Rs 956 after the company said its construction division has secured new orders worth Rs 2,309 crore across various business segments.

The company said its transportation infrastructure business had secured order from Kannur International Airport Limited worth Rs 694 crore and power transmission & distribution business won new orders valued Rs 738 crore.

Parsvnath Developers Limited dropped 2.4% to Rs 26.50 after consolidated net profit in the second-quarter declined 27.8% to Rs 13 crore and operating revenue jumped 8% to Rs 162 crore.

State Bank of Mysore declined 3.8% to Rs 437 after net profit in the second-quarter declined 79.3% to Rs 30.08 crore and total revenue rose 4.9% to Rs 1,687.71 crore.

Sobha Developers Limited gained 1.3% to Rs 311.30 after consolidated net profit in the second-quarter jumped 13% to Rs 56.60 crore and revenue climbed 31% to Rs 545 crore.

Steel Strips Wheels Limited plummeted 5.5% to Rs 143.45 after net profit in the second-quarter jumped 31.6% to Rs 7.29 crore and net sales grew 2.9% to Rs 264.82 crore.

Thermax Limited dropped 1.3% to Rs 620 after net profit in the second-quarter plunged 66.9% to Rs 30.16 crore and total revenue declined 13.8% to Rs 1,050.81 crore.

Triveni Turbine Ltd plunged 6.9% to Rs 51.05 after net profit in the second-quarter declined 45.6% to Rs 15.30 crore and net sales dropped 31.6% to Rs 122.90 crore.
