ABB India net surged 78%. Bajaj Auto October declined 6% and profit jumped 13%. BHEL net plunged 64% and revenues dropped 11%. Clariant Chemicals net surged as sales soared 30%.Glaxo jumped 14% and Goodyear net soared 33%. SBT net plunged 59%.

The Sensex Index fell 79.85 or 0.4% to close at 20,894.94 The CNX Nifty slid 38 to close at 6,215.15.

Gainers & Losers

ABB India Limited jumped 2.5% to Rs 645.25 after net profit in the third quarter surged 78.1% to Rs 38.07 crore and revenues fell 1.3% to Rs 1,786.82 crore.

Bajaj Auto Limited slid 0.8% to Rs 2,078.25 after the company reported total sales in October dropped 6% to 385,323 units from a year earlier period.

The net profit in the second quarter jumped 13% to Rs 837.16 crore and net sales advanced 5.1% to Rs 5,061.49 crore.

Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited slipped 1.3% to Rs 140.45 after net profit in the second quarter plunged 64.2% to Rs 455.95 crore and revenues dropped 11.3% to Rs 9,482.25 crore.

Clariant Chemicals (India) Limited rose 1.4% to Rs 595.35 after net profit in the second quarter surged to Rs 123.99 crore and sales soared 29.8% to Rs 346.74 crore.

During the quarter, the company sold its textiles chemicals, paper specialties and emulsions businesses.

GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare Limited added 2.5% to Rs 4,753.60 after net profit in the second quarter soared 14.3% to Rs 146.93 crore and revenues surged 19.4% to Rs 1,057.47 crore.

Goodyear India Limited slid 0.1% to Rs 329.35 after net profit in the second quarter soared 33.2% to Rs 20.04 crore and sales advanced10% to Rs 405.89 crore.

Mahindra Ugine Steel Company Limited added 0.6% to Rs 110.55 after net profit in the second quarter surged 55.4% to Rs 3.43 crore and sales tumbled 24.7% to Rs 139.19 crore.

Nitin Spinners Ltd fell 1.7% to Rs 11.56 after net profit in the second quarter surged 82.6% to Rs 9.06 crore and sales advanced 8.62% to Rs 119.7 crore.

Sona Koyo Steering Systems Limited surged 10.8% to Rs 14.92 after consolidated net profit in the second quarter soared 82.6% to Rs 12.6 crore and net sales climbed 17% to Rs 383.9 crore.

Suprajit Engineering Limited gained 4.1% to Rs 39.05 after the automotive cable maker reported total sales in October climbed 27% to cross Rs 60 crore over a year ago period.

State Bank of Travancore lowered 2% to Rs 463.95 after net profit in the second quarter plunged 59.2% to Rs 55.34 crore and revenues climbed 16.4% to Rs 2,566.09 crore.

Solar Industries India, Ltd slid 0.4% to Rs 980 after net profit in the second quarter gained 13.3% to Rs 24.93 crore and sales advanced 14.4% to Rs 208.16 crore.
