Berger Paints net climbed 17% and sales jumped 19%. Glenmark profit fell 2%. IDFC profit rose 2%. Kalpataru Power climbed 17%. Mahindra & Mahindra sales soared 29%. Maruti Suzuki October sales increased 2%.

The Sensex Index jumped 32.29 to close at 21,196.81 The CNX Nifty rose 8.05 to close at 6,307.20.

For the week, Sensex jumped 2.5% and for the month the index surged 8.6% and for the quarter soared 9.7%.

Gainers & Losers

AIA Engineering Limited surged 10.1% to Rs 427.95 after consolidated net profit in the second quarter soared 83.4% to Rs 73.60 crore and revenues advanced 11.7% to Rs 491.75 crore.

Berger Paints India Limited gained 1.2% to Rs 233.10 after consolidated net profit in the second quarter climbed 17% to Rs 63 crore and net sales jumped 19% to to Rs 962 crore.

GVK Power & Infrastructure Limited soared 11.3% to Rs 8.15 after the Federal Government decided to grant environmental approval Queensland Kevin''s Corner Project.

Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Limited slipped 3.9% to Rs 540.10 after consolidated net profit in the second quarter fell 1.6% to Rs 154.29 crore and revenue surged 16.7% to Rs 1,463.06 crore.

IDFC Limited advanced 6.6% to Rs 112.75 after consolidated net profit in the second quarter rose 2.3% to Rs 486.75 crore and revenues advanced 5.4% to Rs 2,148.46 crore.

Kalpataru Power Transmission Limited increased 1.3% to Rs 78.70 after net profit in the second quarter climbed 17% to Rs 31 crore and revenue jumped 35% to Rs 962.20 crore.

Magma Fincorp, Ltd. rose 0.1% to Rs 75.90 after consolidated net profit in the second quarter gained 15.3% to Rs 30.69 crore and revenue jumped 27.5% to Rs 486.78 crore.

Motherson Sumi Systems Limited declined 2.1% to Rs 264.75 after consolidated net profit in the second quarter rose 1.5% to Rs 139.63 crore and revenue surged 24% to Rs 7,166 crore.

Mahindra & Mahindra Limited jumped 4.1% to Rs 924.95 after total tractor sales in October soared 29% to 38,263 units from same quarter last year. Tractor sales in domestic market surged 30% to 37,532 units and exports jumped 5% from a year ago to 731 units.

Maruti Suzuki India Limited rose 0.1% to Rs 1,635.80 after company said October total vehicle sales rose 1.9% to 1,05,000 units compared to year ago month.

Sesa Sterlite Limited climbed 2.3% to Rs 206.55 after net profit in the second quarter soared 358.7% to Rs 2,394.37 crore and revenues surged to 26,266.22 crore.
