Axis Bank profit jumped 21%. Bajaj Holdings & Investment profit surged 18%. Bajaj Auto net climbed 13% as sales rose 3%. Blue Dart profit dropped 6.65%. Castrol net soared 22%. MindTree net fell 5% but sales surged 19%. HCL Tech profit climbed 19%.

The Sensex Index slipped 132.11 or 0.6% to close at 20,415.51 The CNX Nifty fell 43.20 or 0.7% to close at 6,045.85.

Gainers & Losers

Axis Bank Limited gained 1.3% to Rs 1,094.95 after net profit in the second-quarter jumped 21.2% to Rs 1,362.31 crore and total revenue climbed 13.2% to Rs 9,375.08 crore.

As on September 30, ratio of net non-performing assets to net advances stood at 0.37% from 0.33% a year ago.

Bajaj Holdings & Investment Limited gained 2.3% to Rs 824.95 after the second-quarter net profit surged 17.8% to Rs 459.98 crore and net sales grew 0.5% to Rs 92.26 crore.

Bajaj Auto Limited increased 2.2% to Rs 2,171.20 after the net profit in the second-quarter jumped 13% to Rs 827 crore and sales advanced 3% to Rs 5,299 crore.

Blue Dart Express Limited declined 4.3% to Rs 2,681 after net profit in the second-quarter dropped 6.7% to Rs 30.06 crore but revenue climbed 12.9% to Rs 471.02 crore.

Castrol India Limited increased 0.2% to Rs 308 after third-quarter net profit soared 21.9% to Rs 104.50 and sales increased 0.1% to 719.60 crore.

Development Credit Bank, Ltd slid 0.6 to Rs 50.25 after net profit in the second-quarter surged 49.5% to Rs 33.09 crore and total revenues climbed 22.22% to Rs 268.82 crore.

MindTree Limited declined 5.1% to Rs 1,306.95 after net profit in the second-quarter fell 4.9% to Rs 128.70 crore and sales surged 18.8% to Rs 769.60 crore.

HCL Technologies Limited declined 5.7% to Rs 1,094 after first-quarter consolidated net profit surged 18.7% to Rs 1,416 crore and revenue jumped 14% to Rs 1,416 crore.

HeidelbergCement India Ltd slipped 2.1% to Rs 34.20 after the company reported net in the second-quarter swung to a loss Rs 28.35 crore compared to a net profit of Rs 7.51 crore.

Sales in the quarter jumped 15.4% to Rs 294.07 crore.

Infotech Enterprises Limited surged 6.5% to Rs 240 after consolidated net profit in the second-quarter soared 33.5% to Rs 72.50 crore and revenue climbed 13.5% to Rs 549.28 crore.
