The Sensex Index gained 21.44 to close at 20,149.85 The CNX Nifty fell 8.85 to close at 6,029.20. For the week, Sensex rose 0.96%.

Gainers & Losers

Bajaj Auto Limited jumped 3.7% to Rs 1,967.05 after the first quarter net profit grew 2.7% to Rs 737.68 crore and net sales rose 2% to Rs 4,808.73 crore.

Operating earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization margin climbed 21.3% compared to 18.9% in the same quarter last year.

Total motorcycle sales dropped 12% to 8,60,151 units and domestic motorcycle sales declined 8% to 5,71,655 units from a year ago.

Hexaware Technologies Limited gained 1.2% to Rs 106.70 after consolidated net profit in the first quarter surged 23% to Rs 97.90 crore and revenue jumped 5.7% to Rs 536 crore.

Housing Development Finance Corporation Limited declined 2.2% to Rs 803.50 after net profit in the first quarter soared 17.1% to Rs 1,173 crore and total revenue climbed 12.6% to Rs 5,564.94 crore.

Mastek Limited tumbled 9.9% to Rs 125.60 after consolidated net profit in the first quarter plunged 65% to Rs 7.10 crore and operating revenue slid 3.3% to Rs 222.30 crore.

MindTree Limited advanced 3.1% to Rs 942.60 and the software services provider said first quarter consolidated net profit surged 71.6% to Rs 135.40 crore and revenue increased 5.8% to Rs 647.70 crore.

Tata Consultancy Services Limited jumped 5% to Rs 1,743 after consolidated net profit in the first quarter climbed 5.9% to Rs 3,831 crore and revenue surged 9.5% to Rs 17,987 crore.

UCO Bank slumped 5.6% to Rs 69.40 after net non-performing assets to net advances in the first quarter rose 3.15% from 2.23% a year ago period.
