Gainers & Losers
Apollo Hospitals Enterprise, Ltd gained 0.4% to Rs 970.15 and the company plans to invest Rs 2,250 crore for expansion over the next three years.
Clariant Chemicals (India) Limited slid 0.6% to Rs 431.70 after the company plans to sell its 80 acre land in Thane to raise $275 million to $293.5 million.
IndusInd Bank Limited dropped 1.3% to Rs 495.70 after net profit in the first quarter jumped 41.7% to Rs 334.84 crore and total revenue climbed 22.1% to Rs 2,382.81 crore.
For the quarter ended in June, non-performing assets recorded at 0.21% from 0.27% a year ago period.
Indian Oil Corporation Limited fell 0.1% to Rs 219.40 after Malaysia based Petronas plan to sell its 10% Canadian shale-gas assets to the company.
Jindal Steel & Power Limited increased 0.7% to Rs 218.70 and the company is in talks with UK-based steel trader Stemcor to buy its Odisha based unit.
Power Grid Corp of India Ltd slumped 1.2% to Rs 108.15 after the power utility plans to raise Rs 1,000 crore or $164.30 million through a bond issue on July 11.
Ranbaxy Laboratories Limited slid 0.9% to Rs 345.55.
Shriram City Union Finance Limited decreased 1.6% to Rs 982.05 after the U.S. based Massachusetts Institute Of Technology fund plans to buy 5,99,943 shares at Rs 984.
Shriram Transport Finance Company Limited declined 3.3% to Rs 691.95 and the finance company plans to raise as much as $123.22 million through a public bond issue.
Sterlite Technologies Limited climbed 4.5% to Rs 23.10 after the company entered in a joint venture with Brazil based Conduspar Condutores Eletricos Limitada to manufacture optical fiber cable.
Strides Arcolab Limited plunged 8.1% to Rs 725.65 after the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion sustained the US based Mylan Inc''s plan to acquire Agila Specialties.
Rolta India Limited jumped 4.8% to Rs 60.55 after the company won a multi-million dollar contract from Sadara Chemical Company of Saudi Arabia.
