The Sensex Index climbed 519.86 or 2.8% to close at 19,395.81 The CNX Nifty gained 159.85 or 2.8% to close at 5,842.20.
For the week, the Sensex jumped 3.3% and for the month declined 3.8%.

Asian Paints Limited rose 1.9% to Rs 4,630 after the board of director’s schedule July 31 as the record date for 10-for-1 stock split.
Assam Company India Limited surged 5.6% to Rs 3.97 after the tea producer surged as tea prices this week at auction rose on robust demand from local buyers.
Bajaj Finserv Limited gained 1.2% to Rs 642.70 after the company joined the latest race to apply for a banking license.
Crompton Greaves Limited soared 8.9% to Rs 87.30 after the company fixed the buy-back price at Rs 125 per share in open market.
Cressanda Solutions Limited increased 2.6% to Rs 488.35 after the board is scheduled to meet on July 1 to approve bonus issue.
