The Sensex Index climbed 519.86 or 2.8% to close at 19,395.81 The CNX Nifty gained 159.85 or 2.8% to close at 5,842.20.

For the week, the Sensex jumped 3.3% and for the month declined 3.8%.

Asian Paints Limited rose 1.9% to Rs 4,630 after the board of director’s schedule July 31 as the record date for 10-for-1 stock split.

Assam Company India Limited surged 5.6% to Rs 3.97 after the tea producer surged as tea prices this week at auction rose on robust demand from local buyers.

Bajaj Finserv Limited gained 1.2% to Rs 642.70 after the company joined the latest race to apply for a banking license.

Crompton Greaves Limited soared 8.9% to Rs 87.30 after the company fixed the buy-back price at Rs 125 per share in open market.

Cressanda Solutions Limited increased 2.6% to Rs 488.35 after the board is scheduled to meet on July 1 to approve bonus issue.

Dewan Housing Finance Corporation Limited rose 0.03% to Rs 160.10 after the company is in talk to acquire a majority stake of DLF Pramerica Life Insurance Company.

McNally Bharat Engineering Company Limited gained 1.5% to Rs 44.40 after the company received an order worth Rs 265 crore from National Buildings Construction Corporation Ltd for housing construction work at Jharkhand.

Magma Fincorp, Ltd slid 0.06% to Rs 89.40 after the company plans to apply to Reserve Bank of India for a bank license.

Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited jumped 2.9% to Rs 330.10 after the government approved to double the natural gas prices from April 1 of next year.

Suven Life Sciences Limited soared 6% to Rs 24.70 after the company secured two product patents each in Japan and U.S. for neurodegenerative diseases. These both patents are valid up to 2029.

YES Bank, Ltd climbed 3.9% to Rs 461 after the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs approved to raise Rs 2,650 crore through qualified institutional placement.
